South Tyneside Business Forum

Meet The Team

Gary Craig

Gary Craig – Chair

I have lived and worked in South Tyneside all my life in the Public, Private, and Charity Sectors and have been self employed since 2002 running my architectural services company. I am passionate about South Tyneside as a place to live, work, do business, or visit and I am happy to give up my time to help promote South Tyneside businesses.

Kris Woods

Kris Woods – Vice-Chair

I am a Chartered Marketer and owner of KWA Communications, a small marketing and PR agency based in Boldon. I joined the Steering Group back in 2009 because I live and work in the Borough and I am committed to the promotion of collaborative working as a way to help South Tyneside businesses proposer.

Angela Anderson

Angela Anderson – Steering Group Member

I am Managing Director of Zenith People, a recruitment business providing temporary and permanent recruitment services to businesses in a range of sectors across the North East.  I have been involved with South Tyneside Business Forum for over six years as I’m passionate about the Borough and, especially since it’s where my businesses are located, ensuring it remains a prosperous place for us all to do business.

Carl Buckley

Carl Buckley – Steering Group Member

I have been a member of the steering group since it was established back in 2007. In 2010 I was elected Chair of the Forum and handed the baton over to the current chair in 2015. My motives for being involved are pretty simple. I want to make South Tyneside a better place to do business whilst sharing knowledge and know how. As the owner of urbanriver.com, a marketing and web design agency, I am only too aware of the challenges that running a business brings.

Adrian Cheesman

Adrian Cheesman – Steering Group Member

I moved to South Tyneside in 2005 having completed a military career and started my business Demob Job Ltd., a leading company promoting the skills and employability of personnel who have previously served in our Armed Forces. Being part of the Forum management team allows me to be directly involved in the promotion and support of businesses across the region, championing South Tyneside as a great place to start and build a business.

Jayne Hart

Jayne Hart – Steering Group Member

I moved to South Shields in 2013, about the same time as taking the leap into self-employment and starting my own business, The HR Dept which provides employment law and HR support to SMEs.  I volunteer for the Forum management team because it provides many opportunities to be involved with local activities and to get to know other local businesses. I value the support that I have been given and I want to give that support back to others.

Sam Osmond

Sam Osmond – Steering Group Member

I started the Facebook Group South Shields Small Business – Shop Local to support and promote small businesses across South Tyneside. I believe that businesses working together as a community will create opportunities for us all to flourish and grow.
